Finite Element Analysis

EEA managing director began analysing & optimising haul pack tyres in 2006 using complex non-linear material models.

Tyre Compression Animation

Following tyres, EEA delved into analysis and optimisation of Mining Truck Trays using similar advanced modelling techniques.

 

Through real-world testing,

EEA were able to record tray behaviour accurately with recorded G-forces utilised as inputs into an accurate FEA model.

Using an accurate model allowed EEA to quickly optimise the Tray design until design objectives were achieved.

EEA's analysis philosophy is:

 

- Utilize the client's knowledge to understand the system and how it's used

 

- Assess real-world data inputs to develop correct simulation boundary conditions

 

- Model and simulate components/systems to the required complexity

At EEA, we analyse models to the degree necessary to ensure they achieve certification and provide safe operation for the intended use.

 

After determining the imposed actions, worst case analyses can be performed under real-world boundary conditions.

 

These analyses may be conducted on individual components, or full assemblies, depending on complexity and interaction between parts.

 

At EEA, we are equipped with ABAQUS, ANSYS and Solidworks Simulation FEA softwares for structural analysis.
