It was an honour to have the Executive VP of DMG MORI worldwide, Hirotake Kobayashi, and his team come to our humble little shop.
Honestly, the relationship with DMG MORI Australia, in particular Paul and Darren, has been inspiring and super supportive. I probably would not have moved into this domain without their constant support and engagement.
Having that interface extended to the Executive VP of the company worldwide feels amazing. I know we are in good hands, and that pushes me to go further and dig deeper.
CNC machining comes with challenges, primarily around operating the machines. Getting the right people is everything in business. And this has been especially challenging here in Western Australia.
Hats off to all the successful CNC machining shops in WA. To create sustainable, profitable, operating businesses that churn out high quality work day in, day out is inspiring.
Automation, for me, is a MAJOR opportunity in CNC machining. We can elevate operators to operating multiple machines, lights out, producing top quality parts.
The vision to have highly paid people, with salaries competitive with FIFO, home every night with their kids, operating automated machines and creating a diverse and sovereign local manufacturing industry is one that keeps me going at it every day, through all the great and tough times!
I know I can achieve that with DMG MORI machines, but especially with their team of people who enable it!
Again, humbled! One of those nice little moments that make it all worth it, along the way.
