Maximising IoT connectivity with long range (LoRa) radio components

Say you have a remote IoT application where your sensor data needs to travel seamlessly over vast stretches – we know just the right tool for that!

Two of our electronics engineers, Sanjeev and Ronald, range tested the LoRa (Long Range) radio components on a pair of our new circuit board prototypes.

We configured one board to transmit a ping while another received. Every incoming message set the motor to vibrate, giving us real-time insights into signal strength and range.

Unlike traditional RF, LoRa uses chirps to create a ripple across radio frequencies. This not only ensures low power consumption, but also extends the reach to incredible distances!

Configured right, the range can stretch to kilometres. That’s why good circuit and antennae design and constant testing is crucial to achieving product design goals.
